It's been six years since Mamzi launched in 2014, and the fashion label has taken their next big step by opening up their very first retail location. What was originally just their design studio is now partially dedicated to housing a mini-store right there on the ground.
“We’re offering our clients a whole new experience," Mariam Abdelghany, Mamzi's founder and designer, tells CairoScene. "I divided my studio into a huge fitting room where I can customize unique pieces for my special clients and a store that includes our unique collections so people could see all the pieces physically and see the quality and designs first hand.”
In addition to customization services, the store is also offering styling sessions with their brand stylist by appointment.
“I wanted to create one place that would have everything a woman is looking for and where she could feel special,” Abdelghany said. And when the entire store interior follows a super-luxe aesthetic reminiscent of a hotshot bridal shop, it's hard not to get that special feeling while you're sitting there, surrounded by their sharp selection of business-casual vests and understated white shirts that brings form to the phrase, "Speak softly and carry a big stick."
The brand has just released a ‘Frontliners’ collection, celebrating the hard work of essential workers during the pandemic with an all-white product line paying ode to their brave work. To shop the collection, visit mamzistore.com or their location at 48 Amman Square in Dokki.
