In true Amina K fashion, the collection unfolds a minimalist palette of greys, blacks and ‘cashew’, while embodying the values of sustainable fashion with a limited release.
Captured through a sequence of swaggy laid-back pictures, Amina K’s newly launched ‘K-apsule: The Sweats Edition’ expands their coveted loungewear designs. In true Amina K fashion, the collection unfolds a minimalist palette of greys, blacks and ‘cashew’. The versatile pieces lean into a more autumnal, sombre vibe, providing cosy sets without the ruckus of a bulky logo.
The incrementally pieced patchwork design integrates more minimalist and maximalist aspects that are quintessentially Amina K. The colour palette’s neutrality is broken up with injections of pink and burgundy. The hustler jacket is reviving the much-loved silhouette of the baseball jacket, with a sleeker twist that makes it the perfect layering item. The Unwind Cropped Sweater bridges the gap between abstract and demure, and with an intentional cut that flatters most body types, it acts as a hassle-free day-to-day statement piece.
“I wanted to create a collection that was all about comfort and timelessness.” Anima K tells SceneStyled. “Inspired by the women we dress, this collection is for the female hustlers, the ones taking it easy, the working mothers and non-working ones, and every woman in between. It’s designed for every woman, and every body type.”
Putting sustainability at the forefront of her work, the heart of the collection - The Easy Scarf - is made entirely out of surplus fabric. With a mission to fight back against fast fashion in mind, the Sweats Edition is limited, cutting down on those wasteful production processes and ultimately producing a one-of-a-kind collector’s item.
