Forget Shopping In Dubai – Mall of Egypt is Coming

Majid Al Futtaim is set to be opening a massive Mall of Egypt in 6th of October City, complete with some seriously unexpected surprises.

Tired of begging your friend who’s going to the U.S. for a few weeks this summer to get you some cool gear from Abercrombie & Fitch? No one going to Canada or Dubai anytime soon to get you those amazing natural Lush products or Manic Panic hair dyes? Soon, you shall beg no more!

The leading MENA region shopping mall tycoon, Majid Al Futtaim, is reshaping the Egyptian shopping experience with the opening of our very own Mall of Egypt. Operating 19 cutting-edge shopping malls (including Mall of the Emirates) and many other diverse entities across the region, Majid Al Futtaim is putting his touch on Wahat Road in 6th of October City with the opening of Mall of Egypt - the first of its kind in our beloved motherland.

The mall, spreading over 455,500 square metres, will include a great number of local as well as international retailers, in addition to high-end fashion shops and boutiques not found elsewhere in the country. We all know a shopping expreience isn't complete without food - well, nothing is quite complete without food – so of course there'll be awesome places to sit and enjoy a meal or grab something on the go. Given that this is Majid al Futtaim, though, we know here's bound to be something a little crazier than shopping and food involved. We couldn't have quite guessed this one, but the mall will also include Ski Egypt, Africa’s first indoor skiing slope, 21 multi-screen VOX Cinemas, as well as Magic Planet family entertainment centre.

It's a good thing the mall includes 6,500 parking spots, because we plan on parking ourselves there for a hell of a long time. Seriously, how could we ever leave?!
