Merging physical and mental wellness with dance, Pole Fit's newest Dance Movement Therapy classes brings some much-needed tranquillity through mood-boosting dances.
Cairo’s Pole Fit has just introduced the newest fitness trend into the local arena, and it has grabbed our attention. Merging physical and mental wellness with dance, the centre’s newest dance movement therapy classes brings some much-needed tranquillity through mood-boosting dances.
“Dance movement therapy is a relatively new phenomenon that uses movement to enhance the physical, emotional and cognitive wellbeing of humans to become their best self,” Manar El Mokadem, founder of Pole Fit, told CairoScene.
Dance therapy is considered a psychotherapeutic use of movement that works on stress reduction and mood management, or can help with issues like body image and self-esteem.
Certified dance movement therapist Sandra Ebeid will be available at Pole Fit’s Garden City studio to take on attendees every Monday at 8:30 PM. To reserve your spot, visit the link in Pole Fit’s Instagram bio.
