A brilliant family day out, the Taste of Zamalek is back this weekend and it's bigger and better than ever...
The Zamalek Association is bringing yummy back with a second Taste of Zamalek. This time it will be held at the classy Ferousseya Club (Equestirian Club Gezira) and the itinerary is chock-full of entertainment the entire family can enjoy. With great food, great company, alongside great music AND movies, everyone is bound to have a good time. This Saturday, the events start at 4:00 pm and you’ll be able to have yummy delights from local restaurants, shop the booths of local businesses, and socialise with members of the community. Don’t worry about the kids getting antsy, Cairo Sitters will be there entertaining children at the Kids’ Corner and the Equestrian Club will have pony rides for kids with ages 5-9 until 6:00pm.
Music will set the mood and you will be able to enjoy the sounds of Abou Wel Shabab and Viva Salata. Ahmed Harfoush has been very busy lately but has granted us the honour of rounding up the night with his smooth vocals and cool Jazz beats (before he finishes the night with a performance at Sofitel’s Le Deck, if you’re interested).
For the first time, the Taste of Zamalek will also include a brilliant open-air cinema, letting you soak up some culture under the stars. They’ll be screening short film Zaman Laura at 7.30pm before animated feature film The Croods is on as much for the kids as it is for the adults.
