VOX Cinemas Opens Sensory Friendly Screenings for Children with Autism

VOX Cinemas has rolled out their Sensory Friendly Screenings in Egypt, bringing an inclusive cinema experience for children with autism.

VOX Cinemas has launched 'Sensory Friendly Screenings' in Egypt, bringing with it a unique and inclusive viewing experience adjusted specially for children with autism. Available in Mall of Egypt and City Centre Almaza, the screenings are adapted with features like reduced audio, dimmed lighting and smaller audience sizes to avoid overstimulation and allow children with autism a fun and safe time at the cinema. Families could even bring their own food in the cinema, in case their children have any special dietary needs.

Originally launched in the UAE with the Dubai Autism Center in February 2021, the Sensory Friendly Screenings have recently rolled out to Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Sensory Friendly Screenings are priced exactly the same as other kids' screenings (with children three years and under able to enter for free), and are available every Saturday starting 12 PM.

Tickets for these screenings can be bought at, on the VOX Cinemas app, or in-person at their ticket counters.
