The South East London-based Egyptian-Irish rapper brings a loose orchestral vibe to ‘Change’, which sees him reflect on the contradictions around him.
Based out of South East London, Egyptian-Irish artist, Malik Polo, has just released a new single, ‘Change’, giving us the first peak of his upcoming EP, Echo Chambers, which is set for release on Abu Recordings.
Teaming up with producer, Ibn Itaka, the single is a wavy, laid-back fusion of trap and drill, with soothing orchestral tones forming a space for the rapper to lyrically excel.
Speaking of lyrics, Polo reflects on a world of contradictions manifested in an era of online disinformation and physical isolation. His easy-going bars and verses, as well as the immaculate production, make for an all-round tight piece of work that draws you in further on each repeat listen. Stay tuned for more.
