EgyptAir is Launching the First Eco-Friendly Flights in Africa

To mark the occasion, EgyptAir designed a special ‘Green Service Flight’ logo to label all the new eco-friendly inflight products and materials, and offered a 40% discount on the trip.

Egypt’s flagship airline, EgyptAir, will operate its first environmentally friendly flight ‘No. 799’ on January 22nd from Cairo to Paris, becoming the first carrier in Africa to do so. The flight will be equipped with eco-friendly alternatives for 27 of its single-use plastic products with an end goal of reducing the use of these harmful plastics by 90%.

EgyptAir has been leading the adoption of eco-friendly and sustainable development practices in the field of aviation, making history in 2019 as the first airline to offer a Boeing program with the option of using biofuel on delivery flights.
