Happening from March 24th to March 26th, Cairo Runner's Dahab Race will come with lots of free time to wander by Dahab's stunning beaches.
For marathon enthusiasts in Cairo, it's practically a tradition at this point. Nearly every year in March, they pack their toughest running shoes and make their way to Dahab for a weekend marathon along the Red Sea with local sports organisers Cairo Runners from March 24th to March 26th.
Often thought of as a more intimate alternative to Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab is a resort town near the southern tip of Sinai, surrounded by the Gulf of Aqaba and brimming with Bedouin hospitality and a laid back hippie sensibility brought on by its most dedicated visitors. And while you could kick back your feet and relax underneath an umbrella made of palm leaves, Cairo Runner's Dahab 10K Race/Camp will make sure you're feeling the burn before it's time to chill out.
As usual, Cairo Runner's Dahab Race will come with lots of free time to wander by Dahab's gorgeous beaches and celebrate the end of the race with a boisterous Bedouin Night. This time, however, they've partnered with Le Meridien Dahab Resort to ensure total comfort in one of the most luxurious hotels in town, giving you your own upscale room and board for when you value your own privacy.
Tickets for the race itself costs EGP 450, and comes with a race kit that includes a medal and t-shirt for finishers, a race number, a tracking chip, a map with an agenda, and an after race breakfast.
To stay at Le Meridien Dahab Resort, you can pay EGP 4,300 per person for a single room, EGP 3,300 per person for a double room, or EGP 3,000 per person for a triple room. Cost includes two nights and three days at a half board basis, transportation by bus, race ticket and kit, an oriental Bedouin breakfast after the race, and a Bedouin night on race day.
